At 27 years, Gotham Studios is Western Australia’s longest running artist-run initiative currently housing 12 visual artists, arts writers and curators. Established in 1987 and officially incorporated in 1988, Gotham occupies the first and second floors of a pair of Federation-style buildings constructed at the turn of the 20th century. The building was redeveloped in 2009 by the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority and officially re-opened by The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi in September 2011.
